Oh, and the flock of cockatoos that take over the back yard each afternoon, demanding their feed of Arnott's Milk Arrowroot Biscuits. Things get a little noisy around 3.00pm in our household. My love of romance started back when I was twelve and my mum's stash of Mills and Boon novels proved too much of a temptation. At fifteen, I decided the life of a romance writer was for me. Some...ah...years later, I've clawed together enough gumption to make my dream a reality. When not sitting in front of the computer, I can be found in the garden or enthralled watching a murder mystery DVD. I limit myself to reading other authors' work between writing my own stories. Once again I'm gone say Author Casey Peeler THANK YOU FOR THIS AWESOME BOOK AND THIS AMAZING CHARACTERS. Excerpt I decide not to waste much time on my wardrobe. I grab my new jeans, a long-sleeved white tee, boots, and veto drying my hair by putting on my favorite camo ball cap. Once I’m ready, the girls and I grab a bite to eat and all go our separate ways. I crank up the radio and the heat in the Honda. It feels like minutes instead of an hour when I realize I’ve been lost in thought the majority of the way. Can we say dangerous? Note to self: focus while driving. I pop in our drunk mix cd that Caroline always plays in her room while we drink PJ. It’s a lot more comical to listen to while sober. Seriously, the country version of “Gin and Juice” and “The Monster” by Eminem? I can’t help but laugh. It doesn’t get any better when “Genie in a Bottle” by Christina Aguilera begins playing. What was she thinking? Oh, wait. She wasn’t thinking because she was drunk. I approach Grassy Pond, and nothing has changed since Thanksgiving. It’s still stoplight after stoplight. I can’t wait to hit that gravel road. I see the farm approaching and feel the butterflies within my stomach. For once, I’m excited and relieved to be home. Turning off the ignition, I see Blue running toward me. As soon as I’m out of the car, he attacks me. “Yeah, boy, I’ve missed you, too.” I rub behind his ears and then make my way to the house. There’s no need to hurry, because as I glance up, Tessa and Mama are in full out sprints. I giggle inside. Tessa wraps me in a tight embrace. “Miss me much?” I smirk. “Char, I swear. Mama and Daddy have been workin’ me to death on this farm. If you didn’t get home soon, I might actually have had to take care of those stupid goats, not to mention sloppin’ the hogs. Yuck!” I should have known Tessa was more excited because that meant less work for her, but that’s my sis, always missin’ when a little hard work needs to be done. “Hey, hun, I’m glad you’re home. Your dad’s gone into town to get a few posts for the fence. I don’t know what has gotten into that bull out there. It’s like he just doesn’t know which side he belongs,” Mama says. I pop the trunk and grab my bags. Mama grabs my laundry basket, and we make our way into the house. As I walk through the screen door, the sound of an F250 that I’d know anywhere rings in my ears. I smile and throw my bag at the bottom of the stairs. I do a one-eighty, press the screen door open, jump off the stairs, and run as fast as my legs will go to that perfect sound. Cash opens the door and steps out in one swift motion. He has on a pair of jeans, a white plaid pearl snap, camo hat, and boots. Damn. I jump straight into his arms and hold him as close as possible. “Miss me much?” He winks. I begin to laugh uncontrollably. “You know, I just used that line on Tessa.” I pull him closer. He looks into my eyes, smiles with that damn dimple, and I feel complete. Cash Money makes me whole. He finally puts me down when he hears the screen door open. I see Tessa standing there with her hands on her hips. “Um, did y’all plan that?” “Plan what, Tess?” I question as I straighten my long-sleeved white shirt. Then, it dawns on me. Jeans, white shirt, camo hat, and boots. Cash and I look like we planned our freakin’ wardrobe. “What can I say? Great minds think alike,” Cash says as he slaps my ass while we walk toward the house. We go inside and Mama has lunch waiting. Enter a giveaway for a chance to win a signed paperback set with Charley swag & 3 ecopies of NTB & FC! Don't have No Turning Back yet? That's okay! A Tragic Wreck is the continuation of T.K. Leighâs heart-breakingBeautiful Mess series. âLibby, wait!â Cam cried, running down the stairs and into the kitchen. He watched as Olivia opened a semi-full bottle of whiskey and drank straight from it. âWhat are you doing?â She took a breath before throwing the bottle back, drinking more. âWhat does it look like?! This is the only thing that takes those fucking dreams away, Cam!â she cried out, her hands shaking. âHow the fuck would you feel if, every night, you watch your parents die?! EVERY! FUCKING! NIGHT!â Her cries became more and more desperate with each breath. âAnd then you see the person who saved you and you donât know who the fuck it is, but you know that you should! I donât know how much longer I can do this,â she moaned, sinking down to the kitchen floor, clutching the bottle in her hand as if her life depended on it. Cam lowered himself to the ground and sat next to her. He leaned against the cabinets and watched with sympathy as she threw back the bottle once more, taking another long drag. He said quietly, âYou know, there are pills that you can try if you donât want those dreams anymore.â She shook her head vehemently, her sobs heavy. âNo. Iâm not going to use chemicals. My doctor already gave me valium, which I refuse to take, to help with the panic attacks.â He raised his eyebrows. âSo, then, whatâs the deal with that whiskey bottle youâre holding?â âFuck you,â she spat out, glaring at him. Cam sighed, placing his arm around her shoulders, trying to comfort her. âSorry, Libby. I just hate to see you upset. Tell me what I can do and Iâll do it.â Olivia took another swig of the bottle. âNothing, Cam. There is nothing you can do. There is nothing anyone can do. This is my fucking life. I destroy people so you should stay far away from me because Iâll just destroy you, too.â She stood up and threw the now empty whiskey bottle into the garbage before walking over to the window, staring out into the dark ocean. She noticed a black SUV parked a few hundred yards down the sandy road. Her heart fell as she stumbled over to the couch, falling flat on her stomach. She was emotionally drained. She wanted to shut it all off. Why did he have to come to her island and find her? âEasy, Libby.â Cam scurried off the kitchen floor and into the living room, kneeling down next to the couch. âIâm broken, Cam,â Olivia slurred, turning her head to look at him. âIâm broken and he keeps popping up. I canât make it fucking stop.â 5 Stars For Both Books ***** I received an ARC copy for an exchange of an honest review ***** Holy Smoke I just finish reading this book and I am loving these series, I have to say I love how the series begging. and love it how its continuing in this book, I love the characters and love it how they are new characters in this book, and those characters just make you wanted to guess whose the good guy and whose the bad guy I am totally loving this book. Title: Love, Your Concierge Author: Jessica Ingro Release Date: February 25, 2014 Genre: Contemporary Romance Synopsis Excerpt Copyright © Jessica Ingro Arms in the air, hips swaying, I lost myself in the sounds of 112âs, âPeaches and Cream.â Matt moved up behind me, pulling me back against his hard chest, grinding his hips into mine. His hands glided teasingly down my arms and sides, causing a slow burn in my belly. His hand moved my hair over my shoulder so his lips could skim along the side of my neck, sending shivers down my spine. Feeling like I was being watched, my eyes opened and looked directly into the blazing, heated gaze of Grant Morgan. I had made myself forget that he was here, but apparently he hadnât forgotten I was. He sat forward in his booth, his one arm propped on his leg â watching me. He was the master of his domain and of his body. You could tell he was at ease with himself and knew how to command his body. He had a powerful aura now that I was closer to him. And if I wasnât mistaken, his jaw seemed to tick when Matt ran his hands intimately down my thighs as he danced behind me. From that moment forward, I danced for Grant. It was beyond my control. My imagination went wild with thoughts of him behind me, moving me sensually against him. Matt or not, I only wanted him to watch me. Only wanted him to touch me. Only wanted him to want me. It was dangerous. It was reckless. It was everything I wasnât. Grant watched me the whole time. Even when waitresses brought him what looked like whiskey or scotch. Even when Nik came back to talk with him. It was a rare occasion for me to look his way and not see his eyes on me. The heated look in them made my skin tingle and my panties grow wet with desire. I might as well have been naked, for the way his eyes stripped me bare. At one point, I caught him subtly adjusting himself. When he did that, I closed my eyes, overcome with a wave of need. I ran my hands over my breasts and down my torso, further stimulating myself. I could imagine my hands down his pants, feeling his hardness beneath my palm as I squeezed it and made him hiss with pleasure. And when my hands skirted farther down my body, I imagined it was his, seeking to give me the same pleasure that I was giving him. And that was how I spent the rest of the night. Seductively beckoning Grant to join me. Secretly wishing he would answer my unspoken call. When a man I didnât know came up and pulled him away, I watched him leave the club and felt an odd sense of loss blanket me. What was happening to me? I am a firm believer that childhood memories are supposed to be happy, joyous, and beautiful. I also believe everyone else in life has just that… except for me, of course. I came close to having that once with my own family. I had a loving mother that treated me like her little princess. My father was, and still is, the biggest support system in my life, but even his love isn’t enough for me at times. I would have been a proud big sister at the age of seven, but Antonio Jr. was torn away from us before he was even born. I was destined to be alone and hurt, both emotionally and physically scarred. The only skeletons that remained of my once happy family was a father I adored, but who lived hundreds of miles away, and a mother whom I had spent most of my own life saving from her demons. Like many people, they are scarred so deep that when they bleed, it is a reminder that they are still human. I have a secret. A secret only I know about. I keep my secret well, and keep it hidden from the peeping eyes of the world. At least I tried… that is until two angels barged into my life, and into my scattered heart. Their presence in my life spun me on my heels, turning my world yet again upside down, and right side up all at the same time. What I find could either save me, or finally push me over the edge. Here is my story… My name is Melissa DeOlmos, a newbie to the world of indie writing. I live in sunny side Palm Bay, Florida with my two lovely crazies ages five and two, along with my Law Enforcement champ of a husband. I could say that writing novels has been a passion that I've always pursued, but I can't. Writing for me has always been my own secret escape into a land of wonders, opportunities, loves and so much trouble that I sometimes wonder if I need medication for the stories that pop into my head. I am now deciding to share my mystical mind and stories with the world, so that hopefully others may also find that little something extra they've been looking for. Thank you, and I hope you enjoy my books. Chartier Genre: Paranormal/Fantasy Release Date: February 23, 2014 Hosted by: Book Enthusiast Promotions The dark creature walked over to me, unusually close, the heat from his skin leaping onto mine. He held up his open palm. As if entranced, I placed my hand upon his and our fingers laced together. Suddenly the darkness of his eyes was illuminated with swirls of hypnotic colors circling each other in the very middle where his pupils should be. I knew I shouldn’t be here, shouldn’t be touching this sinful creature, but I couldn’t stop. His touch was hot with a passion I had never known before, yet so familiar. I was caught in a trap that I never wanted to get out of. His other hand dug into my hair and jerked my head back, his breath hot on my neck, his eyes peering into mine. “How many more, ma’am?” a fireman shouted out above the sirens. The female just stood there in front of the smoldering shelter before her, both hands covering her face, ashen-filled tears falling from the edge of her jaw. “Ma’am!” the fireman hollered out. “Who else are you missing?” The wind changed directions. I looked up to see another angel passing by, carrying the breeze along with her. She raised her hand ever so slightly to wave. I nodded at her. The fireman covered his nostrils with the inside of his arm as the wind carried the sultry smoke toward him. The female seemed unaffected by the smoke. She just kept staring at that front door, her apprehension more of a focus now as she waited. “Two,” she finally replied. “Did she say two?” another guy asked. “Two?” he asked her again to confirm. Never looking his way, she nodded. “My husband, he went back in for our oldest son.” “Who are you?” I whispered, my chest heaving up and down from his firm grasp on my hair. My anger flared. I should kill him for putting his hands on me like that, but it felt so good. He narrowed his eyes at me for a moment before answering, “Draco.” Draco. He released me as I stood up straight, facing him. I knew who this strange creature was. I had heard about him on my travels. He was a solider of the dark, with strength witnesses marveled at. Most of the soldiers of the dark were cowards who slithered here and there with little, if any, common sense about their purpose or duty at hand. It was said that this Draco’s loyalty surpassed all others. But there was one other tidbit I had heard that was even more unusual. Those who worked with him, who were on the same side, seemed to like him. It was a concept unheard of for the dark side. Everyone was your enemy and everyone hated each other. “And you are?” he asked. If I said my name, he’d know who I was as well, and he’d run away. My intrigue was far too deep to have him disappear just yet. “It doesn’t matter, does it?” I said. He smirked, a dimple forming in the side of his cheek. Seeing Alex in the lobby of the hotel was a blessing and a curse. No words exchanged, just a look. One look was all it took and the moment our eyes met the weeks of isolation and avoidance vanished. Moments with Oliver were a distant memory and all I wanted was him. The electricity between us unquestionable, my legs moved before my mind could catch up. And by that time I was already in Alex’s arms. I don’t even remember how we got to his room, but the moment we were behind closed doors our reunion turned pornographic. Lifting me, Alex pins me against the wall, hands traveling up my thighs pushing up my skirt, fingers digging painfully into the skin of my ass. A moan escapes my lips before taking his mouth, sucking on his bottom lip, teasing his tongue with mine. With a deep growl, Alex brushes his fingers against my aching core before ripping my panties, discarding them to the floor. His fingers find my wet core and my body immediately begins to tremble when they glide along my folds. After weeks without him, my body reacts to his absence by grinding against his strong hand. “Alex…” I moan, running my tongue along the stubble of his chin. “I fucking love you…” he growls as his nails dig deeper into my skin. My heart swells with emotion at his simple words. I bite my bottom lip while Alex focuses on my breasts. Pulling down the neck of my blouse he pushes down the top of my bra, exposing my nipple. He takes it into his mouth, sucking aggressively, moaning against my flushed skin. “Say it. Even if you have to lie to me…say it.” Closing my eyes, I tip my head back breathing in his musky scent and feel the rising pleasure with each lap of Alex’s hot tongue against my sensitive skin. “What Alex…I’ll say anything just please, please don’t stop…” Lifting his head from my rising chest, I sigh in disappointment from the lost warmth of his mouth. As I look into his eyes I see the torture of the past couple of weeks reflected back at me. I’ve hurt him, I’m hurting him now, but I can’t stop. This feels right. Leaning in, Alex softly kisses my lips before resting his forehead against mine. So tender my heart splinters. “Tell me you still love me. I don’t know what’s going on in your head, but I need to hear it.” “Hey…” I reach up grasping the sides of his face forcing him to look at me. “It’s not a lie. I don’t have to lie. I do love you. I know it seems like…” my voice trails off as Alex interrupts me, his mouth crashing down on mine. “That’s all I wanted to hear. I don’t care about anything else.” Alex pushes himself against me as we both eagerly undo his belt. Lifting my legs, I dig the heels of my feet against his jeans, pushing down his pants, bringing his boxers along with them. Within seconds he’s deep inside me and all the stress from the past few weeks have completely vanished. I love him and I’ll live in this for as long as I can. Hailey and Aiden are battling their hearts desire. Fighting against what they think they can’t have. Can Aiden and Hailey resist temptation? Can they open their hearts for more? Excerpts Aiden's POV We both sit quietly for what seems like forever, just watching the girls dance and laugh. “I still can’t believe she’s going to be my wife,” Liam says out of the blue. I laugh. “Yeah, I never thought I would see the day that Liam MacCoy settled down,” I chide him. “Just wait, dude, when you find it, you’ll understand.” I don’t say anything to that, because well…I have a feeling I may have found the one that could get me to change my way of thinking, but I won’t let myself have her. My eyes find Hailey as they always do, and I take in her movements, her laughter. I love to hear her laugh. The next song is a slow one, “Can’t Fight This Feeling” by REO Speedwagon. Liam jumps up and makes his way to Allison, pulling her into his arms. I watch them, wishing it was Hales and me. “Don’t leave me hanging, Emerson,” I hear her say. I look up to find her standing there with her hand held out, waiting for me. I reach out and take her hand, tugging her close. She wraps her hands around my neck and begins running her fingers through my hair. I place my arms around her waist and pull her as tight as I can get her. I glance over her shoulder and see that Liam and Allison are in there own little world. Good, that means there is less of a chance of them witnessing this. I told myself that I would keep my distance, but I can’t. I will never be able to turn her away, tell her no. Hailey brings her arms down and places them around my waist, hugging me close as she rests her head against my chest. I lean down and kiss the top of her head, and try like hell to memorize every minute, every single fucking second, of what it feels like to have her in my arms. This song, fuck me, it’s perfect for us, for me. I sing softly in her ear, hoping she understands what I’m trying to say. The song ends and Hailey slowly lifts her head from my chest. “Thanks for the dance,” she whispers as she leans up and kisses my cheek. I release her from my hold and she stumbles a bit. I would love to think that it’s my effect on her, but I’m pretty sure it’s the alcohol. I reach out and catch her with my arms, helping her regain her balance. “Looks like she’s had enough too,” Liam says as he steps up beside us. “Yeah, I think you’re right.” My voice is thick with emotion. I pray that he doesn’t notice. “I’m taking Allie to bed. Can you make sure Hales gets settled in?” “Sure, man. I’ll see you guys in the morning,” I tell him. Liam scoops Allison up in his arms and carries her into the house. Hailey falls against my chest, losing her balance once again. I wrap my arms around her. I can’t seem to control myself where she’s concerned. “I can’t feel my legs,” she mumbles against my chest. I kiss the top of her head. “I got you, angel,” I say, bending down and scooping her up in my arms. I carry her in the house and set her on the couch. I run back to the door, closing and locking it. I find Hailey where I left her, eyes closed breathing softly. She looks peaceful. I gently pick her up and carry her upstairs. Once I reach her room, I place her down on the bed, careful not to wake her. Her eyes pop open as I am pulling my arms out from underneath of her. My face is so close to hers, all I would have to do is lean in just a little and I could taste those sweet lips. Hailey loops her arms around my neck. “Don’t go,” she whispers. ***** I received an ARC copy in a exchange for an honest review ***** Wow just finish reading this book, this is the second book in the series WITH YOU. the first book is ANY WHERE WITH YOU. Buy The Book About The Author M. Stratton is an International Amazon bestselling author in the romantic suspense and mystery suspense categories for her debut novel After the Storm. She is a self-proclaimed dork that loves to make people laugh and can trip over nothing. Her inner rock star is always on stage performing to a sold out crowd but is quiet and shy on the outside.
She lives with her husband and son in Arizona, which is a big difference from where she grew up north of Chicago Illinois. As an only child she learned to tell herself stories to make the long winters go by quicker while dreaming of summer vacations. Now as an adult she still makes up stories to pass the time, but now she writes them down to share with other people. When not writing you can find M. watching football (Go Bears!), NASCAR, or classic movies, watching her husband and father restore classic cars, and seeing who can be sillier, her or her son, and of course reading. Things you don’t know about M. Stratton: 1. She loves the movie Twister… she can say all the lines along with the actors. She will also use those lines in real life as often as possible. 2. Halloween is her favorite holiday. She starts planning months in advance. She has more Halloween decorations than Christmas. 3. She once made up a monologue about her love of chocolate chip cookie dough for her high school drama class. 4. There are times she thinks she is so funny she has tears running down her face while laughing at herself. 5. M. can play the clarinet but is in awe of anyone who can play the guitar, piano or drums, pretty much anything where your hands have to do two different things at the same time. 6. Cary Grant is her favorite actor. When she was in high school after Cary Grant died one of the cable stations ran a marathon, she watched his movies from 6 in the morning all day and night until 4 AM the next day. 7. Reading has always been an escape for her. She can devour a book in hours. When she moved in with her husband she literally donated over 1,000 books and saved over 1,000 for herself. She can reread books over and over again if she loves them. There are some that she has reread about once a year for the past 20 years. 8. She eloped after knowing her husband for only two months in 2006. They are still married over seven years later. Tristan's been sucking sunshine right from the monogrammed silver spoon his life was served up on since the day he was born. And quite frankly, he wouldn't want it any other way. He's his mother's pride and joy, his father's right-hand-man, and the envy of every guy around. All Tristan has to do is flash his million dollar smile, give his trademark wink, and he gets what he wants, when he wants, anytime he wants. Leah Franchetti grinds her fingers to the bone; sculpting, painting, recreating treasures from trash—the very sentiment that defines her life. Her inventive, vindictive, lucrative, and seemingly unforgivable plan allowed her to shortcut her way into the life she always imagined, owning an art gallery, surrounding herself in the comfort of her passion and dreams. When circumstances force Leah and Tristan to come face-to-face with the past and with Leah’s devious manipulation, truths come flooding forth, destroying those in the present and possibly jeopardizing both of their highly anticipated futures. Can Tristan overcome Leah’s slander and deception—despite how dangerously close he comes to losing the one thing he can’t go without—money? Will Leah be forced to come clean, knowing she’ll have to live her life with the one thing she can’t go without—her dignity? Excerpt Rushing out of Chet O’Donnell’s office, angrily and haughtily, I face-plant straight into a strong, hard chest, covered in a wool, cable-knit sweater, smelling of expensive cologne. People always say that the sense of smell is the most powerful sense, triggering memories and feelings clearer than any of the other four senses combined. Just one smell, one inhalation of that warm, sexy designer cologne and my insides burn, ignite with intense desire and longing. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. No. No. No. “I’m…I’m…I’m…” I stammer, backing up, dropping my head, and looking straight at the ground in humiliation. “I’m…I gotta go,” I mumble, sidestepping out of his way, and heading straight for the elevator. I push the button repeatedly, knowing damn well my actions won’t speed up the elevator’s arrival. Tristan runs to catch me, just as I eye the stairwell and bolt for the door. “Leah! Wait!” he yells; the “wait” is muffled by the sound of the door slamming behind me. I run down only one flight of steps and escape onto the twentieth floor, knowing that Tristan O’Donnell would chase me the entire way down the stairs—if seeing and talking to me were his goals. Tristan O’Donnell always gets what he wants. Always. Hoping that Tristan doesn’t check the video monitors, I walk down the hallway to the other set of stairs and down to the first floor, exiting O’Donnell Industries. Once I hit the street, the winter sun reflecting off the snow burns my eyes. I squint at the pain of the brightness, knowing the sting of my tears has nothing to do with the shining, searing light.
